WHAT
The Quest for Quality project is designed to highlight exemplary quality in university-based teacher preparation programs in Texas. The project partners with universities to identify and highlight exceptional students and faculty, exemplary instructional and programmatic practices, and applicable research. The Quest for Quality project is designed to support the goals of Closing the Gaps.
WHY
The Quest for Quality project is designed to highlight exemplary quality in university-based teacher preparation in Texas. The project seeks to accelerate improvements in teacher preparation programs by identifying exemplary teacher candidates and practices. Quest for Quality also promotes broad scale application of best practices to improve quality and productivity in teacher education.
HOW
The Quest for Quality project invites Texas universities to nominate exemplary teaching candidates, faculty, practices, programs, partnerships and research for recognition by the project. The purpose of these nominations is to identify best practices and make them more widely known. These nominations are occurring in five phases over 2012 and 2013.
