speakerWhat People Are Saying

I relate assessments to student characteristics and real-world applications. I immediately modify the lesson when student assessment shows a lack of understanding. I create and maintain a positive learning environment by establishing high expectations, encouraging student participation, and having students create their own expectations. -- Stephanie Wilson

When designing a math intervention she based it on student needs and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Stephanie used a variety of formative assessments. By combining that data with past STAAR assessments and pre-assessments conducted by the school, Stephanie was able to create an instructional sequence for her math intervention group that was based on individual and group needs. -- University Faculty

Stephanie showed excellence in her knowledge of content, instruction, planning and in creating a positive learning environment. Instructional planning and delivery are clear strengths for Stephanie. She made an impact by using her skills, demonstrating excellence in content knowledge, pedagogy, less planning, and instructional delivery. -- University Faculty
