Molly recognizes the importance of continuous review of the previously taught math standards along with deep, meaningful practice of the new standard for each lesson. Molly is careful to use grade-appropriate math academic vocabulary and explains new terms in student-friendly language as she teaches. She continually strives to use the most effective strategies that maximize the learning for all students and is an outstanding student teacher. -- University Supervisor

Ms. O’Brien presented the “Mathematics Scavenger Hunt”. In this unit students were led to a different area of the campus each day to complete a challenging task targeting different TEKS. Each day’s less included a review of the objective students would be working on a hands-on task that kept every student at every ability level engaged, and a product at the end of the day to be used as an assessment. -- Cooperating Teacher
