  • About Our Practice

Strongly associated with my pedagogy is the use of various technologies as instructional tools. I use Crocodoc Personal, Livebinders, and Pinterest to build the pedagogical content knowledge of my students. I also assess my students as they create their own websites with Weebly and upload their authentically created instructional videos on YouTube.

  • Key Practice Features

Crocodoc Personal presents a collaborative opportunity for my students and I to discuss assigned readings. I am able to insert comments that prompt students to a) connect the reading to their prior experiences, b) relate the reading to course content, and c) eek additional information. I have created a page on Facebook titled, Classroom Discussion Board. On this page, I post information about new websites, social media devices, and other technology sources. Poll Everywhere provides an opportunity for checking my students' understanding of course content My students and I follow one another on Pinterest. This allows us to pin best practices in the form of pictures, videos, websites, and electronic files. I use Weebly to accomplish two goals-- a) to create a "learning hub" where I post content for my students and b) my students create websites to demonstrate their pedagogical content knowledge.
