  • About Our Practice

    The STEM Teacher Preparation Academy is an innovative two-year program at Texas A&M University in College Station. Seeking to increase both the quantity and quality of certified secondary math and science teachers, the STEM Academy implements a rigorous curriculum featuring cutting-edge technology, STEM-focused content, and intense in-service teacher interaction. This innovative Academy creates a unique community where in-service public school teachers and pre-service teachers enrolled at Texas A&M University work in unison to grow academically and professionally.

  • Key Practice Features

    The Academy consists of 4 components:

    1. Required coursework for certification
    2. The Learning Academy Seminars (LAS) – 5 per semester (20 total)
    3. The Teacher Awareness Outreach Program for Middle and High School students
    4. The Induction/Mentor Program

About Faculty Practices
